Both attended the Marquis Wine Cellars French Fete charity fundraising event to aide women on the Downtown Eastside.

New Zealand journalists Steve Mason of the Southland Times with Lawrence Gullery of Hawkes Bay Today and Tourism British Columbia's super star host Tom Ryan at Sanafir for dinner and good times. The media delegation enjoyed the best of Vancouver and Whistler over five days earlier this month as part of the inaugural Air New Zealand direct flights between Auckland and Vancouver.
